| Friends and Subscribers,We live in an age where blood sugar spikes are caused by carbohydrate-heavy fake food products. This unnatural – and never-ending – assault on your body dramatically raises your risk of developing a chronic illness.Incidence Rate Of Pancreatic Cancer Since 1970 According to the American Cancer Society, the incidence rate of pancreatic cancer cases in the United States has increased by about 1% per year since the 1970s.You see, since we swapped the fat-based meals out grandparents ate for Big Agra’s starchy cereals and carb-packed “health foods,” we didn’t become healthier at all…We got sick. It’s no coincidence that the unchecked rise of Big Food and Big Agra power has gone hand in hand with the explosion of modern diseases. Big Agra’s cheap grains and toxins have polluted almost every part of our food supply. This pollution includes everything from grain-fed cattle and poultry to a simple piece of produce and everything in between… Including every packaged meal on every grocery store shelf. And it’s led us straight to the epidemic of chronic diseases we face today… Including the deadliest cancer there is – pancreatic cancer. In fact, pancreatic cancer cases have risen to an all-time high. This is a direct result of our typical insulin-spiking, inflammatory American diet.1 This is serious. Almost 65,000 Americans were diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year, and the rate has been increasing every year for the past half-century by a rate of 1% a year. And the five-year survival rate for this dreadful disease is less than 10%. This year alone, pancreatic cancer will kill about 50,000 people in the U.S. Researchers at the University of British Columbia have now found a direct link between high insulin levels and pancreatic cancer. The study, published in Cell Metabolism, also provides the first detailed explanation of why people with obesity and type 2 diabetes are at an increased risk of pancreatic cancer.2 The researchers showed that high insulin levels overstimulate pancreatic acinar cells, whose function is to produce digestive juices. But when acinar cells are overstimulated over long periods, it leads to inflammation that then converts them into pre-cancerous cells. The good news is that you don’t have to live with high insulin levels or a constant battle with your weight. You can also dramatically reduce the risk of pancreatic cancer, as well as other forms of cancer at the same time, by adopting a low (or zero) carb ketogenic diet.3,4,5 Keto is well known for helping people with weight loss and curbing type 2 diabetes. Versions of it can be found on every newsstand and weight-loss site across the internet – although not all of them work.Benefits Of A Keto Diet On Pancreatic Cancer CellsRecent studies have explored several ways the keto diet might inhibit the growth of pancreatic cancer cells:Deprives cancer cells of glucose: Many cancer cells rely heavily on glucose for energy. The keto diet’s very-low-carbohydrate approach deprives tumors of this fuel source.6 Induces cell-killing stress: When your body is in ketosis, the liver produces ketone bodies for fuel. Recent studies have determined that when pancreatic cancer cells are exposed to ketones, they experience metabolic stress. This stress can lead to oxidative damage, disrupted metabolism, and even cell death in those cancer cells.7 Increases chemotherapy effectiveness: A 2024 study in mice found that combining a keto diet with chemotherapy significantly enhanced the anti-tumor effects of the drugs. This combination also tripled the survival time in mouse models compared to chemotherapy alone.5 Simple Steps For Getting The Most Out Of A Keto DietA keto diet is high in animal fat, but very low in the blood-sugar spiking grains and other carbs that are typical of the modern American diet. Here’s how to get started:Make sure you get 70% of calories from the right fats. Strictly avoid trans fats and seed oils like corn, sunflower, safflower, soy, and canola. Instead, increase your intake of healthy fats like avocados, nuts, seeds, olive oil, and coconut oil in your diet. Go super-low carb. Your daily requirement for carbs is zero. Start by avoiding all processed foods. Also avoid grains, rice, pasta, beans, and starchy vegetables. Choose the right kind of protein. Beef, organ meats, fish, and eggs are your best sources of protein. Try to choose grass-fed beef and wild-caught fish, which are both high in healthy fats. Get eggs from pastured chicken. Stay hydrated: Increase your water intake to help manage the diuretic effect that a ketogenic diet can have, especially in the beginning stages. Move your body: Engage in my PACE workout to deplete glycogen stores and encourage the switch to fat-burning. If you want to learn some specific PACE exercises, go to my YouTube channel. I have more than 30 different exercises and a complete workout to help you get started.Remember to be patient. Give your body time. It can take several weeks for your body to become fully keto adapted. To Your Good Health, References:“Pancreatic cancer: Statistics.” Cancer.net. Available at: www.cancer.net.
